Good quality product, constructed in such a way as to give you confidence in its ability to keep your baby safe. Very convenient, especially if you buy one for each car you own (and of course, the grandparents’ car). Being the grandparent I had never seen this latch system before, and I must say, I like it a lot better than having to use the seat belt to secure the base.

Help answer the question about Seat Extra
I started cycling. And I have my toddler in a seat on the back of my bike. Do I Seat Extra earn extra calories?
Since im working harder with a extra 30+ lbs, how do I fit that into my calorie burn? And does it really make a big diffrence?

I bought the Trail a Bike at a yard sale, and the hitch was missing. This one is great.

Cho May 21, 2010 at 12:27 pm

I like having an extra hitch –I put it on my husband’s bike and now we can switch easily from one bike to another.
The only thing–after each ride the hitch seems to be twisted a little on a side and I do not know why so I have to fix it every day.

Not much more to say except that I recommend a second hitch for a second bike.
Love the Trail a bike itself and so does my daughter.

Hitch works exactly as expected and the quality I expect from Adams. Would love to see it designed to lessen the bulk where the screw heads are. And would be great if the whole hitch mechanism were redesigned so you wouldn’t need an adapter for each bike. If you have an TrailABike and you want to use it on more than 1 bike… this is what you need.

For any multi-car family, it’s great to have a spare car seat base for the convenience. There’s not much to say about features, except that it does the job, `nuff said!
The seat is a little pricey, but if you shelled out for the Peg Perego infant seat, you probably knew what you were getting into. Despite the price, I’d definitely buy it again.
Made in Italy, good craftsmanship.
Over 80% of infant car seats are installed incorrectly. Do your baby and yourself a favor and have your car seat installation inspected by an NHTSA-certified inspector. Find a free inspection location at [...] I used the site to find a local police station with an NHTSA-certified officer that verified the installation for both my family cars.

i bought the preg perego for the only reason it was made in italy and not china. as an italian, i felt like i was helping ‘mi familia’ – prego!! ok, i am only 1/2 italian and can only do mob accents, but i have to say i absolutely love this car seat and the stroller that we bought w/it. i am on my second son, and over the last 3.5 years, both the car seat and the stroller are a beast. i think the wife and i will try for 3 next year (but since i am 1 yr from 40, idk!!) and if we do, i know it will easily last for #3. we spent a lot of money on the prego’s, but our goal was to give it to a young couple when we were done. a way to pay it forward and i can rest easily knowing it kept my kids safe and now someone elses.. God bless america and those hard working italians back in italy making my family safe.

My wife and I need the extra base for my truck. In Austin, their are few sotres that carry the extra bases. Great find and service, quick shipping. recommend!!

I love my snugride. I got a second adaptor for our other car. The car seat transfers easily from car to cart to stroller. Makes life a little easier when it becomes quite hectic.

We are most pleased with this unit which was easily installed in my vehicle.
It is very simple to place the infant car seat in the base and know that it is secure.
It is also extremely easy to extricate the car seat from the base when you arrive at your destination.
Most pleased with the unit.

This was a great buy – Graco makes a quality product at a good price point. I’m very happy I bought this and would recommend to anyone.

I bought this for my Graco Stylus travel system.

Pros:
- Relatively easy to install
- Light weight

Cons:
- I never feel like the car seat is sitting SNUG on the seat. Even after I tighten the belt as much as I can, the car seat moves a bit (not a whole lot). This concerns me as I thought that the car seat is to sit very snug.

We went with the Graco Snugride because it received good safety ratings and fit our budget. Our newborn son fit nicely in it and seemed secure – the first few times. After the first couple of months I started to notice some definite drawbacks:
1) It is NOT particularly lightweight, and even though my son was a smaller baby, it still got really heavy really fast. After about 3mos. I refused to use it anymore. We put it in hubby’s car and I put the convertible seat in mine.
2) The straps adjust from behind, and they are the kind that need to be threaded individually. So, if the season changes (or you just live in a variable region like we do) you’ll find yourself fighting with it every time your child wears anything heavier than a onesie. THEN you have to re-thread again on the next warm (lighter clothes) day. And trust me – trying to adjust those things when you’re in a hurry to be somewhere will frazzle your nerves in no time!
3) The handle was not very steady. What I mean is, these seats are pushed and pulled constantly, usually at a sideways angle in and out of the car or at your hip. I found that after just a few trips, the handle felt loose and would rock a little from side to side, and even back & forth slightly when supposedly locked in place.
4) Last thing, but definitely my biggest concern. The anchor strap slips! You don’t notice it the first few times, and you probably won’t ever notice it unless you ride in the back seat or test it occasionally. Because it was in my husband’s car, we didn’t notice it at first. Then I rode back there one day and found that the base was sliding like crazy – the BASE! The strap (it was the LATCH strap) had gradually gotten looser and looser, even though we used a towel to even out the seat (as recommended) and pulled the strap as tight as humanly possible. We fixed it, then found that several weeks later it was loose again!
I would accept that the loose strap thing was a fluke of this particular seat (since I’ve never heard anybody else complain of it), but taken as a whole we will NOT be using this seat again. Go with Britax or Chicco!

Fits perfectly in my car and my hubby’s. We got extra bases, one for Daddy’s car and one for Grandma’s. It was VERY easy to install especially because we could use the LATCH system. Although you can use the carseat without the base, it was so easy to just “snap and go”. I love the Graco travel system. It was lightweight, durable, and safe. Unfortunately our daughter has outgrown it and moved to a “big girl” carseat. We will be saving this for baby #2!

Slips around in the back seat.
I used some shelf liner, (rubbery kind), underneath and it did help to keep in place. Not just my car it moves around in my mom’s also.
