Bauer Cosco Helpful Fact

My baby has only been using this chair for about four months, and it is ripping apart at the seams. I’ll have to get a new one now or try and repair this one, but I”m not sure if it will be safe when repaired. Definitely a disappointment!

We travel and go out to eat a lot and wanted to find a chair for our daughter who would slide around in highchairs because she was so small. Bought this chair and ran it into the ground. It’s super compact so we could fit it into a suitcase or in the carseat carrier when traveling or slide it under a seat when driving. The arms can stay on when in the carrying case (unlike Chicco) and it has a high back cover so your kid isn’t sitting against the back bar. The arms are a little difficult to fold in and we do not like how you have the screw the bottom bars up and down(very time consuming) but after trying a Chicco travel chair, we will probably end up purchasing another one of these. The bottom fabric does end up ripping which is why we tried the Chicco chair.

If you are looking for a chair to replace a highchair in the house and will do minimal traveling/eating out, I would recommend the Chicco. If you do a lot of traveling where space is a premium, I would go with this chair.

I don’t have this exact chair model, but I do have the Eddie Bauer all wood high chair. This chair was bought because it was charming, firt child and didn’t know better. If your going to actually use the high chair don’t get this one. It is impossible to clean, stuff gets all around the wood bars on the side. The pad washes okay, but it is hard to wipe it off. I would have been better off with a chair that wasn’t as cute but was all one piece. Real old fashion high chairs clean TONS better than these. DON’T WASTE THE EXTRA MONEY TO GET THIS!

chair is overall in ok condition. it has multiple scratches and nicks in it. also one would piece was broken but i fixed it with some wood glue. i had to cover the scratches up with a prisma color marker in the wood color. so now it looks good but it took a little time and effort. from far away it looks perfect but when you get up close you can see its imperfections. i would had bought it in the store but i had an amazon gift card and i am a first time amazon shopper. It was extremely fast shipping so that was a plus but next time i will just go to the store and purchase it. that way i can look at it before i purchase it and it can’t get damaged during shipping. as for the seller this probably wasn’t her fault and she did her part by sending it in a timely manner.

I bought this car seat as an upgrade for my two year old. I have the Eddie Bauer infant to toddler car seat and am looking for a toddler-booster seat for my boyfriends Suburban.

I have a Dodge Magnum, he has a Chev Suburban. This seat is so “straight” standing that it will not safely sit on the bottom seat or will the back touch the back seat. it moves inches left to right and is not safe. The instillation manual is terrible. The pictures aren’t helpful to accurately depict where the seatbelt hole is. I ALMOST rigged this seat up by installing the seatbelt strap behind the coushioning near the head rest and across the booster (under the padding), but being that this is not the way to install the seat as indicated in the manual, I opted to return the seat.

It’s a terrible design…kudos to Eddie Bauer on their infant-toddler reclinable seat but they get a big ZERO for this particular model. I woudln’t be surprised if this seat is recalled.

Buy it for yourself and try to install it…you may have no recline to your car’s seats and in such case the seat may actually install without incident.

If you want a seat that looks good, this is the seat for you. If you want a seat that you can install correctly, DON’T BUY THIS ONE! This seat is IMPOSSIBLE to install securely. I don’t know if it’s the armrests or where the latch is located, but it is a struggle to try to get this seat installed.
