I love this seat for a variety of reasons. It is plush. I stays clean better than any other carseat I’ve had so far. It is versatile. It can fit a newborn just as comfortably as my almost 5 year old. It reclines very nicely. It is solid, but not super heavy. You don’t have to rethread the harness straps- so quick for transitioning between kids if I need to. My kids sleep in this chair easily.
The downside is that it is 20-22 inches wide, so I cannot fit it three in a row. I use this in my van in a bucket seat.

We purchased this seat because of it’s flexibility to face forward or rear and could grow with our son. The problem we are having is that when we have the seat facing rear it is too vertical and if my son falls asleep his head has no support and ends up hunched over.

I have not tried the seat facing forward, but I’m hoping for a better experience.

First of all, I have not used this seat rearfacing ever. I purchased it once my daughter outgrew the seat that was part of a travel system. I love this carseat, and she does as well. I was recently rearended and pushed into another car (at high speed) and my daughter was ok, not a mark on her. I am going to buy her the same seat again now. The old one still looks perfecty fine (we’ve had it for 2 yrs) but after the wreck I am of course replacing it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the latch system hooks on this model (which are the same for the Graco Nautilus) are just very basic hooks and one of them bent soon after we got the seat and is somewhat of a hassle to remove. So, for forward facing use in only one car, where you are not inteding to switch the seat out a lot, it’s a great choice in my opinion. One more note: when I first bought the seat, I thought I could use the recline for making her more comfortable on long rides to sleep but it is not to be used forward facing, unless you need to recline it to level it correctly.

We purchased this Alpha Omega Carseat after our 6 month old was too big for his carrier. We had a Graco comfort Sport, but didn’t like having to transport it from car to car. I didn’t think it was the safest option. So I opted to buy the “Escalade” of carseats to have at all times in my car. We use the Graco for my husband’s since the baby doesn’t ride in it that often. We had a tough time installing it for the first time in Rear Facing- 07 Ford Escape, center position. The seat slants in and it was making the recline be more upright, which isn’t cozy for a sleeping baby. We had to put 2 towels and a noodle, but it is very sturdy and doesn’t move. It’s very tricky. But once you get it in properly the first time, you won’t have to mess with it for a long time. I have two friends, both with twins, and they both love this seat. They love the recline feature for the FF seat. The price online is much cheaper than from Babies R Us. So for us, it was a great investment. Also it was ordered on Monday and at the house on Friday.

Two thumbs up from over protective parents.

I really hate this car seat. It takes up way too much room. The only place we could fit it rear-facing and securely was behind the passenger seat. To do so we had to shove the passenger seat all the way forward so that means there is no room any longer for a front passenger. And even then the seat isn’t reclined as much as the indicator says it should be (almost but not quite). I would have never purchased this seat. My mother bought it without consulting me and I used it because I’m broke. I have an incredibly small car and this is the worst seat for it. If I had an Escalade maybe there would be room. This thing is HUGE. Besides that it’s difficult to get the baby in and out and adjust the straps. There is just nothing good about this thing.

My son is an average sized boy, but will reach 40 pounds probably several months before he’s likely to hit 43 inches tall. The result: I have to buy a new car seat to hold him untill he’s tall enough to use this seat as a belt positioning booster. That’s what their customer support line told me. Apparently, the harness is only safe to 40 lbs, but the seat isn’t safe to use as a belt positioning booster till they’re 43 inches tall. On top of that, the straps are a nightmare to adjust every time you buckkle your child in. I hate this car seat. I bought it because it was supposed to be the only one I’d ever need, but after needing the baby carrier and now an interum seat, I would have been better off buying almost any other seat on the market!

This is a really nice carseat. My daughter seems really comfortable in it. It is a little bit of a tight fit in my Mitsubishi Lancer, but it fits great in my husband’s Nissan Titan. Easy to install with LATCH system. Color is nice.

Just purchased this for my one year old! He loves it. We were able to put it in the middle of the back seat (as required) and he loves the view.
It was easy to instal and looks very comfortable!

I bought this seat for my granddaughter to be installed in my car when we have her. Installation went pretty smooth and there are many adjustments to get it just right for her. As she grows it’s pretty easy to make changes with the harness without having to remove the seat, Bottom line-good quaulity, well thought out, glad we have it.

This arrived quickly, without any problems. It was easy to install and is very comfortable for my 9 month old grandaughter. It is very heavy duty and appears to be very safe. My grandaughter smiles the minute I put her in there. I love it.

My wife and I loved this car seat, so she put it on the registry. I read a lot of the reviews here about it being too big in a lot of cars for the rear-seating configuration. I’m an average sized guy, and have a BMW X5, so I thought there would be more than enough room to recline the baby seat to the level position necessary for the rearward configuration in the middle seat. Even with the rear seats of the car fully back and with the front seats forward a couple of inches (already not the best for me driving), it still didn’t fit. It’ll fit on the rear passenger side with the front seat cranked forward quite a ways, but we want to put the baby seat in the middle, not on the sides. So I guess we’ll use our Graco traveler seat until the baby is big enough to use this in the forward position. Kinda defeats the purpose of getting a 3 in 1 in the first place.

I just wanted to say that we bought this car seat thinking the 3 in 1 aspect would save us having to buy another one later on. We find we have the same problem with the seat not being able to recline enough. We own a Hyundai Elantra, and there just isn’t enough room in the middle for the car seat to fully recline. Unless we bring the seats forward to the point where this isn’t safe, either. I hope Safety 1 can work on this for future car seat models.
