The product’s suction cups won’t stay up for more than 30 seconds! It doesn’t completely block the sun from hitting my baby’s eyes. The product creates a blurred and darkened rear vision. I don’t feel safe and in control with the thing up, especially at night and when I have the baby in the car. So it has to be continuously removed for night driving- that is if you can somehow make it stay up for that long! I had to pull over on the freeway a couple of times; once in order to make the suction cups stick during the day and another time to get the one side that was still up, down in order to have a clear view of the road at night!

I was looking for a seat cover for my child’s car seat to keep it from getting hot when I’m parked outside. This thing does the job very well. Not only was the car seat cool to the touch while the entire car felt over 80 degress (F), but the cover is very easy to put away. There is a little extra rubberband at the bottom where you can just scrunch the entire thing together and hold it in place with the rubberband / elastic. This also makes a great dust cover as it will wrap around the entire top of the car seat to keep the places where your child touches dust free.

Excellent product! I had been using a towel to keep my daugther’s car seat out of sunlight when the car was parked but I decided to try this and I’m so glad I did. It folds up really small for storage and has an elastic and toggle to keep it wrapped up in a smaller parcel. Most importantly, this product WORKS, it does exactly what it’s meant to. Previously, when I was using a towel to cover the car seat, the car seat was still hot and the metal buckles were still quite hot to the touch as well. This cover keeps the car seat and buckles cool to the touch. Perfect! It keeps my daughter from being burned by the metal buckles and the uncomfortable feeling of sitting on a hot seat. Not to mention you shouldn’t leave a car seat out in direct sunlight as it can damage your car seat. I would think this would cover any car seat on the market. My daughter’s car seat is huge and it still fits great over it (I live in the UK so it’s a European car seat called a Maxi Cosi Mobi and it’s a huge beast!). I highly recommend this product, especially for the hot summer months!

I bought this sun shade but it got used only once or twice. Mainly because of the inconveniences. I have to put my baby down because it requires both hands to cover the car seat and most of the time I can’t but her down and not worry about her running off the street. I wish I just bought those square/rectangle one

it really does keep the car seat much cooler that the car! i could put my baby right in the car seat and go rather than waiting for 5 minutes until the car cooled down! highly recommend! =)

This sun shade has worked very well for us. We washed the window and applied it at 20 degrees F (i.e. cold) and it has stayed on for a month no problem. It does look rather cheap and didn’t go on totally smooth and doesn’t cover the entire window, but for the price I’m very pleased.

I bought this since it was the #1 selling car shades, but after installing, I had immediate regrets. It clings well if you clean your window. It works to block out the sun. However, it looks so cheap, both from the inside and outside! It is literally just a piece of static cling. And I spent forever trying to get it flat, without bubbles on the windows so it looks good. Once these shades die, I will not buy them again.

Doesn’t work at all…
I bought this for my baby but it doesn’t work!
There are spaces that won’t cover with this cheap-looking sheets…
My husband hates it! Please…don’t waste your money on this…

The shade was not the easiest to apply without lots of bubbles, but since it can be reapplied endlessly, it works fine if you have lots of time and patience. Also, since it is a generic rectangular shape, rather than being fitted for the shape of the car window, it didn’t block the sun in certain areas. But, other than that, it did the trick.

I’ve had this UpShade in my car for a year now and it works great. I can roll the window up and down and I don’t have to remove the shade. It has been great on those sunny days during the commute after work.

I have no idea how this works in a car but it is OUTSTANDING for airplanes. If you fly something with a canopy you know what I mean. That “fighter” look was great until you got out there on a hot sunny day at low altitude. This is what you need to keep your cockpit cool and still see traffic. If need be you can snap it out of the way in a jiffy for a clear view. They sell a dumbass version of this on Vans RV website for $160.00 !!!! You get these for 3.99.

this could have been a good product if it wasn’t so flimsily made. the velcro piece that sticks to the window to hold the bottom of the shade down fell right off of my clean window, and the suction cups don’t stay very long, either. the hole in the bottom tab to attach to the suction cup is too big and slips off the cup. the clip on the top that hooks over the top of the window broke apart on the second day of use. on the plus side, the roll-up action is good and the overall look is nicer than some other shades. it shades somewhat…i wish it were more opaque, though. overall, it’s a cheap product that doesn’t seem to stand up well to its intended usage.

I was looking for a sunscreen that I could apply and remove with ease and this item does the trick. Not only can I remove it but I can cut to it to any size or shape and it still clings to window. I recommend this item and would purchase it again.
